When our client approached us to reimagine this expansive Victorian home in Hertfordshire, her vision was clear: to restore the warmth and timeless charm that had been lost through previous modern renovations. 

Our design sought to honour the home’s heritage while introducing a relaxed, contemporary farmhouse aesthetic.

On the ground floor, we created a sense of flow and character with a rich timber floor in the reception room and a warm limestone-effect porcelain tile extending through the kitchen and entertaining spaces. The kitchen was redesigned with a farmhouse feel, anchored by a handmade oak dining table and a cosy snug. Standout features include a striking media wall with timber cladding and an elegant games room with a bespoke bar topped in Calacatta Oceana marble — a sophisticated focal point for gatherings.

Upstairs, the principal suite was thoughtfully reconfigured, merging the bedroom and dressing room into one generous, light-filled space. Exposed timber trusses add architectural interest and warmth, while soft, luxurious carpets underfoot create a calm and restful retreat. The adjoining en suite was also upgraded, bringing cohesion to the transformation.

Designed to feel warm, welcoming, and practical for modern family living, this Hertfordshire home reflects our signature style: lived-in yet refined, with interiors that stand the test of time.
